Following the success of the 2023 Roadshow, when over 100 homes received energy surveys, The Leaky Homes Roadshow is returning.
The 2024 Roadshow is being delivered by Energy Action Redhill and Reigate (EARR) (an offshoot of CARR, now an organisation in its own right). This year it will be part of the Surrey-wide Local Energy Advice Demonstrator (LEAD) project funded by GSEEH. Having been at the forefront of action in 2023, EARR is now working with groups across Surrey, including Zero Carbon Guildford, Circular Dorking, Talking Tree Spelthorne and others.
As well as offering an energy efficiency survey of your home with thermal images, in 2024 EARR can also provide free "Smart packs", a personalised selection of draughtproofing and other energy efficient items to provide instant improvements to the warmth and efficiency of your home.
In 2023 we identified that over half the homes surveyed did not have sufficient loft insulation. (The recommended depth of insulation is a minimum of 230 mm). Thanks to funding from UK Power Networks, EARR can now offer access to loft insulation at a heavily subsidised rate. This offer is open to all households that have taken part in the Leaky Homes Roadshow, both from 2023 and 2024.
